Piles Symptoms

If you are not sure if you have piles I have given the usual symptoms that occur when you are suffering from piles (Haemorrhoids).  Treatments for piles are available from most online pharmacists as well as high street health shops.  In most instances you do not require a visit to your GP if you believe you are suffering from piles as medicines are available over the counter.  Some of the treatments available are not suitable for women who are pregnant or breast feeding, so it does pay to check all the information before ordering or buying any specific treatment.

The following symptoms are commonly caused by piles.  It is possible that they can be caused by other issues so if you have any worries you should visit you GP for information.

Bleeding

It is common for piles sufferers to notice bleeding, from their bottom when they go to the toilet.  This may be seen in the toilet water, on the paper you wipe with or in the form of blood stains on your underwear.  If you notice bleeding you may not suffer any pain, as it is often painless bleeding.

Lumps & Discharge

If you have any lumps on your bottom these may be caused by piles.  It is also common for mucus to be discharged from your anus.

Excretion Problems

Some piles sufferers report that they do not feel like they have fully emptied their bowels when they visit the toilet.

Itches and Swelling

Piles may cause the skin around your bottom to be itchy or for swellings to occur.  If you were suffering from an itchy anus, it could be possible that you are suffering from a paracite infection, like worms.  You should be able to see if you are as worms may appear in your stools.

Pain

Possibly the worst symptom, but if you suffer any pain or problems with you go to the toilet for a bowel movement you may find that you have external piles.  You should be able to see these external piles.

There are lots of treatments available for piles so you should not worry if you believe you have them.  It may be sensible to see your GP to confirm that you do have and to check the symptoms are not being caused by something else. On this website I have put lots of information about the different piles treatments available, so if you have a read around you should have an idea of what treatment options there are and how these work.
